## Installing

Stations are installed from **Stations** in the navigation, or from **Settings → Stations**.

<Steps>
  <Step>
    ### Add the document

    Either:

    - enter its URL and click **Fetch and read**, for example:

      ```
      https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AymericChaverot/quasar/main/stations/minecraft.yaml
      ```

    - or open **Write or paste one instead**, paste the document and click **Read it**.

    Nothing is stored yet. A document with errors is refused, with the full list of problems.
  </Step>
  <Step>
    ### Review what it may do

    Quasar lists, in plain words, everything the station will be allowed to do on the server. You can also read the whole document.

    Permissions are accepted **as a whole**: there is nothing to tick. If the list is more than you want to give, don't install the station.

    :::warning
    A station asking for `exec` can run commands in its containers, which means root access to them. Only accept it from an author you trust.
    :::
  </Step>
  <Step>
    ### Accept

    Click **Accept and install**. The station now appears on the **Stations** page.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Deploying

1. Open **Stations** and pick the station.
2. Answer its questions (a version, a port…).
3. Review the summary: what will be created, your answers, and what the station may do.
4. Deploy.

The deployment then works like any other application. You can deploy the same station several times.

## Updating

Stations are never refreshed automatically. In **Settings → Stations**, click **Re-fetch** on a station imported from a URL.

- If the new revision asks for **the same permissions or fewer**, it is applied right away.
- If it asks for **more**, it is **put on hold**. The station shows *revision waiting* and keeps running the version you accepted. Review what it adds, then **Accept** or **Discard** it.

An update changes the station's tabs, script, hooks and theme, for **every application** using it. It never changes what those applications run: their compose file, image and environment stay the same. To change those, use **Update** on each application.

## Rolling back

Every accepted revision is kept. Click **Back to <version>** to return to the previous one. The application doesn't stop.

## Disabling and removing

- **Disable** turns the station off without removing it.
- **Remove** deletes the station. Applications deployed from it keep running, without the Station tab. What the station stored for them is deleted.
